About Our Organization

Educational Mail is a non-profit and apolitical organization founded in Yaoundé, Cameroon, by a group of vibrant adolescents driven by the desire to better their communities through education. Edumail was founded on August 12, 2019, in response to the sociopolitical instability in Cameroon’s northwestern and southwestern regions, which greatly influenced the formation of Edumail. Following the identification of the key issue confronting students in those places, we initiated study material donation campaigns that lasted over four months and raised enough material to send to 500+ students in the crisis-stroke region. Edumail strives not only to assist students throughout the country and the world who live in conflict zones but also to deliver quality education and generally improve the quality of the current educational system Since its creation and incident in crisis-affected areas, Edumail has successfully worked on three major projects: a No-to Academic-Violence Campaign in which Edumail was able to sensitize over 10,000+ students physically on campus and over 7000+ students via social media on the dangers of violence on campus. To help homeless individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic, Edumail, in collaboration with NM House, gathered finances and encouraged the public to donate materials to two camps. In the most needy camps, we provided 37 reusable face masks, soap, and buckets, and sensitized over 27 people. Edumail collaborated on a project called Covid-19 Brigade for Safe Schools in Cameroon with the Cameroon Fulbright TEA Alumni Association as we gathered data for upcoming education outreach efforts targeting homeless children. In Cameroon, this was done to stop the coronavirus from spreading among students. In Yaounde, the Edumail Team visited over nine institutions and educated over 6,500 students
